Think Fast!
I was in a rush this morning. My plans changed last minute and I had five minutes to run out the door. I knew I’d be gone for most of the day, so I hurried to the kitchen and grabbed 3 baggies. One bag for granola, one for a veggie, and one for a fruit. I sliced some peppers, diced a pear, and bagged some granola. I transferred my yogurt into a container and I was off! Sometimes we...

Going out to dinner with friends can be a challenge, but no matter where you go there will most likely be a healthy option. If their is not an option, practice proportional eating. Never stop being social because of your new lifestyle just make smart choices and most likely your friends will be inspired by you.
Perfect Square!
I don’t know how many times I have stared at the candy shelf in the check out lane contemplated whether or not to buy a piece. Chocolate is one of my danger foods, I love it so much. I tell myself I’m going to buy a bar and only eat half, but I always find myself saying “one more bite” until it’s gone. Candy isn’t bad now and then, but it definitely should be...
Getting Into Morning Workout Mode!
For me the best time of the day to work out is in the morning! My days run more smoothy, I seem more focused and I eat so much healthier. Most of the time I come home from work/schoo and I don’t feel like lifting a finger. Morning work outs is a great way to trick you body into exercise. The hard part is the waking up part. I don’t know how many times I have been so pumped about my...

Common Complaints About Getting Healthy
My parents don’t buy healthy food for me.
I come from a family with tons of support, but sometimes the kind of support you need for a healthy lifestyle isn’t the same kind of support needed for sports, activities, or school. When you live at home and have no control over the groceries being bought, or the foods that are being made, staying healthy can be hard. I knew that if my...
Nature's Path Organic Love Crunch Carrot Cake...
I love carrot cake, it’s one of my favorite cake flavors and it’s hard to eat in moderation. I was walking through Whole Foods and saw “Carrot Cake” granola and thought to myself “No way this taste like carrot cake for only 130 calories”. It was still worth a try! So I bought it.
I opened the bag and poured a 1/4 cup onto my yogurt. I was completely...

Genghis Grill!
Last night I went to the Genghis Grill! I had never had Mongolian before. This is hands down my favorite restaurant now! The waitress handed us a bowl that we took up to the food bar. There was so much to choose from. I chose shrimp, lentils, peppers, onions, green beans, sesame seeds, pineapple, carrots, broccoli and ginger citrus sauce and lemon pepper for my seasoning. Before you hand your...
