Homemade Flavored Hummus & Veggies!

Veggies are always the perfect party snack! I always set them out if I have company coming over. It’s also perfect snack to keep around the house!

One of my favorite flavors is Tomato Basil, so I figured hummus would be a great candidate to add a little tomato basil flavor to!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Chickpeas (Rinsed and Soaked)
  • 1/4 Can Whole Pealed Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Chobani Yogurt
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Chopped Basil
  • 1/8 Tsp Cumin
Directions
  1. In a blender of food processor add Chobani, chickpeas and tomatoes and blend until smooth
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Chill in fridge for a thick texture.
2 Tbsp: 40 Calories, 8g Carbs, 2g Fat, 5g Protein

Garlic is my next favorite flavor! I have had garlic hummus before and absolutely loved it! I made the same base recipe as the tomato basil hummus with a few swaps. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Chickpeas (Rinsed and Soaked)
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Plain Chobani Yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp Roasted Garlic
  • 1/8 Tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Directions
  1. In a blender of food processor add Chobani, chickpeas and roasted garlic and blend until smooth
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
  3. Chill in fridge for a thick texture.
2 Tbsp: 35 Calories, 7g Carbs, 1.8g Fat, 4g Protein

I chose carrots, jicama, green, yellow, red, and orange bell peppers. Most vegetables go great with hummus. Other vegetables I love with hummus are cucumber, celery and radishes.
